About 158 auctions and tenders for sale of municipal lands will be held in June in Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani State Committee for Land and Cartography said.
About 115 auctions will be held in the Absheron district of Baku, Khachmaz region of Azerbaijan - 6 auctions, Barda - 2, Siyazan - 2, Jalilabad- 6, Shamkir-1, Goychay-1, Hajigabul-4, Agstafa-3, Kurdamir-1, Shirvan-1, Ismayilli-1, Khizi-1, Sheki-2, Agdash-3 and Gusar -2.
About 534 auctions were held since early 2010 in Azerbaijan. The figure was 65 in February, 35-March, 185 -April and 91-May.
In Azerbaijan, about 685 auctions and tenders for sale of municipal land were held in 2009. The first two auctions were held in Azerbaijan in March 2009, four - in the Absheron region in April, eight auctions in May, 40 auctions in June, 13 - in July, 23 - in August, 92 - in September, 204 - in October, 209 - in November, 90 - in December.
According to the Azerbaijani President's decree dated Dec.10, 2008, the land of local authorities are sold only through auctions and the authority for their conduct passed to the State Committee for Land and Cartography. Previously, the municipalities had these powers.
