Incomes to Georgia’s public budget for January-April amounted to 69% of annual forecast

According to the National Bank of Georgia, in April incomes to the state budget of Georgia amounted to 484.8 million lari ($ 1 = 1.85 lari).

According to the National Bank of Georgia, in April incomes to the state budget of Georgia amounted to 484.8 million lari ($ 1 = 1.85 lari).

"The Government continued to issue treasury bonds in April, as a result of which in a month it was able to attract 13.5 million lari", the National Bank said.

In April, 50 percent (175 million lari) of tax revenues to the public budget were revenues from VAT. According to the National Bank of Georgia, the share of revenues mobilized by the Customs Department was 57 percent, and revenue service - 43 percent.

The largest incomes were payments of the second category, which amounted to 92 million lari (26 percent) in April. In April, 29 million lari (8 percent) of excise tax were mobilized and profit tax made 13 percent (44 million GEL) of all revenues. Hence, the share of excise collection on imports of goods amounted to 72 percent, and domestic products - 28 percent.

In April, tax revenues in total budget revenues amounted to 78 percent (348 million lari), 29 percent of which fell to direct tax revenues (income tax, customs and other unclassified payments), and 49 percent - on indirect (VAT, excise ).

The share of non-profit revenues and grants amounted to 19 and 3 per cent respectively.  
According to the same source, incomes to the public budget of Georgia for four months amounted to 2.25 billion lari, or 69.2 percent of the annual plan.
