Azerbaijani State Customs Committee announces country's trade turnover in Jan.-May

The Azerbaijani State Customs Committee has announced results of Azerbaijan's foreign trade operations with 126 countries, the committee said. The total amount of trade turnover of the country amounted to $10,579 8,007 billion. Red ink in the amount of $5,114 billion was observed in the foreign trade operations.

During this period 4,629 legal entities (2,643) and physical entities (1,986) participated in the foreign trade operations.

The country's export operations increased by 78.02 percent or $3,583 billion, and amounted to $8,176 billion compared to the same period of 2009 .The share of public sector in export operations made up $7,67 billion (93.7 %), private sector held $484,794mln (5.93 %). The share of export operations by physical entities comprised $22.03mln (0.27 %). 

In January-April, import increased by 4.43 percent or $101,851 million and reached $2,402 billion. The share of public sector in import operations amounted to 669.99 million (27.89 percent), the private sector - $1,609 billion (67 percent), physical entities - $122.71mln (5.11percent).

During five months Azerbaijan exported 1,473 types of goods, and imported - 4,904types of goods.
