The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) held a meeting with First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Syria and a member of the Azerbaijani-Syrian intergovernmental commission in the economic, scientific and technical and cultural spheres Mohammed Al-Taysir Arbini, the CBA said.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues in the cash, and familiarize with the activities of the CBA in this area. At the same time the guest has familiarized with automatic processing of banknotes and storage of money.
The first deputy chairman of the Central Bank of Syria appreciated CBA's achievements. He expressed the need to exchange experience to study the international standards in the field of cash.
Prospects of cooperation between central banks of both countries were discussed.
