The Azerbaijani State Standardization, Metrology and Patents Committee have made changes to the state standards for ice cream - AZS 228-2006, the committee reported today. The changes take effect from July 1, 2010.

The Azerbaijani State Standardization, Metrology and Patents Committee have made changes to the state standards for ice cream - AZS 228-2006, the committee reported today. The changes take effect from July 1, 2010.

The changes means that the shift in storage term of the product depends on its preservatives, emulsifiers and other additives, which should be stored at temperature not exceeding 18 degrees.

Under the changes, the expiry date of ice cream set at one month, butter - 1.5 months, Ice Cream - two months, cakes, pies and cakes - 15 days, fruit and flavored ice cream - 1.5 months.

Milk, ice cream and ice cream produced on the basis of modern technology with the use of preservatives, stabilizers, emulsifiers, should be stored at temperature 18 (± 2 degrees Celsius) to 10 months.
