Sahib Alekperov was appointed Deputy Minister of Taxes upon the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's decree dated July 2, the ministry said.
Alekperov has served as chief executive of Sabail district of Baku since 2005-2009, Deputy Chairman of State Statistics Committee since June 2009.
Sahib Alekperov was born January 10, 1952 in Samukh region. He graduated from the Azerbaijan Oil and Chemistry Institute in 1972, and the Moscow Academy of Social Sciences in 1984.
