Azerbaijani State Customs Committee announces country's trade turnover in Jan.-June

The Azerbaijani State Customs Committee has announced results of Azerbaijan's foreign trade operations with 130 countries in January-June , the committee said. The total amount of trade turnover of the country amounted to $13,147 billion. Red ink in the amount of $7,343 billion was observed in the foreign trade operations.

During this period 5,112 legal entities (2,835) and physical entities (2,277) participated in the foreign trade operations.

The country's export operations increased by 76.17 percent or $4,429 billion, and amounted to $10,245 billion compared to the same period of 2009 .The share of public sector in export operations made up $9,639 billion (94.08 percent), private sector held $556.73 million (5.43 percent). The share of export operations by physical entities comprised $49,613 million (0.48 percent). 

In January-June, import increased by 5.23 percent or $144,131 million and reached $2,901 billion. The share of public sector in import operations amounted to 795,430 million (27.41 percent), the private sector - $1,955 billion (67.4 percent), physical entities - $150.65 million (5.19 percent).

During the first half of 2010, Azerbaijan exported 1,639 types of goods, and imported - 5,164 types of goods.
