Another small hydroelectric power station privatized in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani State Committee on Property put small hydropower station Zeyxur's shares on the investment contest, the State Committee said.

The Azerbaijani State Committee on Property put small hydropower station Zeyxur's shares on the investment contest, the State Committee said.

Applicants must provide an investment program with the proposals to restore hydrotechnical equipment, purchase and install new equipment.

Concerned people must submit a bank guarantee for five percent of the value of the investment proposals and proposals to transfer 200,000 manat to the state budget, as well as to write off at least 8,000 privatization checks (for foreigners - an equal number of options).

Zeyxur specializes in generation and sale of electricity. It is located in Gusar region. The company has been operating since 1972. Price is 93,863 manat. Annual capacity of the plant is 8.75 MW.

Applicants can familiarize the requirements of competition, privatization plans and get more information from 10:00 to 18:00 until August 31, 2010 at the address: 20, Y. Safarov st., Baku. Documents and proposals are accepted from 10:00 to 17:30 until August 31.

Proposals will be reviewed by the commission in the building of the State Committee on State Property from 15:00 September 2, 2010.

Today privatization of seven small hydropower plants of the existing nine ones completed. Sheki, Mugan, Cuban, Nugedin, Gusar, as well as "Chichekli" and Balakan hydroelectric power stations were privatized. There are state-owned hydroelectric power stations Zeyhur and Chinarli.

On July 31, the official exchange rate is 0.8036 manat to $1.
