In January-June about 22,800 cars were imported to Azerbaijan. It is 29.3 percent less than the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee said.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the total value of cars imported in January-June amounted to about $188 million dollars, or 14.2 percent less than in January-June 2009.
In January-June about 2,384 trucks were imported to Azerbaiajn, or 37.6 percent less than the January-June last year. The total value of imported cars totaled more than $56.6 million, or 17.3 percent more than last year.
In January-June, the republic imported buses to the amount of 453 units, or 13.1 percent less than in January-June last year. Buses worth $23.75 million dollars were imported in January-June, or 0.4 percent more than the same period last year.
In January-July about 408 trucks were produced in Azerbaijan. During this period, about 265 cars were produced.
