The automaker Toyota intends to deploy large-scale production in the U.S. and Brazil, Toyota Tsisho Corporation General Project Manager Teruyuki Mori said in Baku today. Toyota Tsisho Corporation is a member of the group Toyota.
During the crisis the company had not closed any of its manufacturing facility, except in the U.S.. This suspension was associated with a desire to exit the alliance with General Motors.

"This was a forced action," Mori said.

According to him, the company currently pays more attention to medium and small markets. The number of popular cars on the market or the number of expected orders is taken as a basis for opening a new manufacturing facility.

It should be noted that the global financial- economic crisis has affected the volume of the company's production. Before the crisis, the production companies have always gone on increasing trend. In particular, if before the crisis, Toyota produced 9-9.5 million cars a year, after the crisis, these figures dropped to seven million units.

Whereas previously the company's enterprises have worked in three shifts, now they are working in two. This was made possible by getting rid of temporary staff, which is actively used in Japan. "This system allows you to respond to this kind of situation," Mori said.

The company will be able to return to the pre-crisis production volumes in three to five years, Mori said. But in some countries, this amount has already been achieved and even exceeded, in particular, in China.
