Coal wagons come off rails in north of Kazakhstan

Today at 6:20 in the Pavlodar region (north of Kazakhstan on the border with Russia) at unguarded railway crossing area Maykayin - Ushkulun cargo train crashed with a car of KAMAZ brand, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan said.

Today a cargo train crashed with a car of KAMAZ brandat 6:20 in the Pavlodar region (north of Kazakhstan on the border with Russia) at unguarded railway crossing area Maykayin - Ushkulun, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan said.

"The KAMAZ driver died on the spot, the assistant engineer and two employees of the militarized security received injuries," the Ministry said.

According to the Ministry, as a result of the accident electric locomotive and 29 wagons loaded with coal came off the rails. Some 200 m of the way, equipment of signaling, centralization, blocking and communication have been damaged.

"Experts of the Interregional inspection of the transport control "Ert c" and the Commission of JSC NC "Kazakhstan Temir Joly" investigate the accident.
