Azerbaijani tourism companies will exhibit their products at a national exhibition in Uzbekistan from Nov. 5 to 10, Azerbaijani Travel Agencies Association Chairman Nahid Bagirov said.

"The exhibition will be attended by travel companies like Xazar Travel, Caspian Travel, Millenium Tour, Baki Tur, and Royal Travels," he said.

According to Bagirov, a meeting will be held between Azerbaijani and Uzbek tourist companies during the exhibition.

"Contracts will also be signed between the companies," he said.

These contracts will create a basis for further expanding the tourism ties between the two countries, Bagirov stressed.

"It is planned to expand cooperation within the 'Silk Road' project, which will lead to an increase in tourist traffic in both directions," he said.

The exhibition is organized by the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry upon the initiative of the heads of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

The exhibition complex in Tashkent covers over 4,500 square meters and will exhibit expositions demonstrating Azerbaijan's achievements in recent years, Second Secretary of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Uzbekistan Sabuhi Ahmadov told Trend.

In total, more than 160 Azerbaijani enterprises will exhibit about 2,000 products meeting international quality standards.
