The Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry's State Veterinary Service analyzed blood samples and pathological material taken from domestic and wild birds and did not find any causative agents of the "bird flu" virus.
The service launched regular monitoring on Nov. 1. The pathological material from 18 species of wild and eight species of domestic poultry were analyzed in addition to the blood samples of 1,119 species of poultry.
The monitoring was held in the Absheron Peninsula, and national parks and reserves in the Shabran, Salyan, and Agjabedi and Lankaran regions, as well as coastal areas.
The monitoring was held by the Veterinary Service jointly with the Health Ministry, Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, and Society of Hunters.
The next monitoring will begin on Dec. 13.
