The "Pranik" vessel sailing under the Moldovan flag was detained for violating navigation rules in Georgian territorial waters on Nov. 11, the Georgian Border Police told Trend.

The ship was on the outer raid in the port of Poti.

Additionally, Russian citizen Sergei Goloshchapov, the ship's captain, is accused of committing an administrative offense.

He launched a small watercraft without the port control service's permission.

The Georgian Administrative Code envisages a fine of 50,000 lari for such violations.
