About 98 percent of Azerbaijan's exports to far abroad fell to oil products in Jan-Oct

In January-September 2010, Azerbaijan imported from the countries of far abroad (excluding the CIS countries) goods worth $3,537 billion or 68.88 percent of the total amount of the country's import, the State Customs Committee said.

Machinery and mechanical installation (24.4 percent of total import), vehicles (9,69 percent), electrical machinery and equipment, as well as their spare parts (8.68 percent) ferrous metallurgy products (8.23 percent), sugar and confectionary (3.98 percent) were imported to Azerbaijan from the countries of far abroad.

The amount of export of Azerbaijani goods to far abroad hit $15,756 billion (90,74 percent of total export).

Mineral fuels, oil products, bituminous minerals (98 percent of total exports), ferrous metalls (0.39 percent), natural and artificial pearls, precious and semiprecious stones, precious metals and base metals coated with precious metals, jewelry, coins (0.41 percent), polymer materials and products (0.27 percent), sugar and confectionery (0.14 percent) were exported to the countries of far abroad.

There is black ink worth $12,218 million with far abroad countries on import-export transactions.
