Inflation hits 1.8 percent in Azerbaijan in Nov.

Consumer prices and tariffs for services increased by 1.8 percent in Azerbaijan in November compared to October, the State Statistics Committee reported.

Food prices rose by 2.5 percent in November, while non-food products by 0.4 percent, tariffs for services by 0.9 percent.

The prices increased for rice, flour, buckwheat, bread and flour products, pasta, meat, sour cream, cheese, butter, vegetable oil, bananas, pears, quince, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, garlic, onions, potatoes last month. The prices cheapened for fish, lemons, oranges, tangerines, chestnuts, cabbage, greens, carrots.

The prices increased for shoes and fall clothing, building materials, oil paint, wallpaper, wood, bricks, cement, kitchen and bedroom furniture, home appliances in November.

The prices cheapened for cotton, silk fabrics, summer clothes, laminate flooring, washing machines and refrigerators.
