Georgian government plans to declare 2011 as the "year of Georgian products".
The country's Economy Minister, Vera Kobalia said she is ready to write a plan together with Georgian businesses for the development of Georgian agriculture, while urging interested business entities to cooperate with the government.
"Maybe the best shelves will be allocated in supermarkets specifically for Georgian products. Maybe they will be expensive, but everyone will know that this is a qualitative product, and is a product of Georgian agriculture," Kobalia said.
An initiative to declare 2011 the year of Georgian products was announced by the Georgian businessmen two days ago at a meeting with the president.
