Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov reprimanded Construction Materials Industry Minister Yazmyrat Khommadov for poorly executing his official duties, an official Turkmen source said.
The source said the reprimand concerned shortcomings while appointing top employees to agencies and enterprises.
This ministry is a major producer of construction materials. About 70 percent of manufactured building materials fall to it in the state sector now.
Several types of products: cement, non-metallic building materials, wall materials, concrete elements for building, asbestos-cement sheets, sheet glass, concrete block, asphalt, gypsum, limestone, kaolin, etc., are produced in the construction materials industry.
It is planned to build, reconstruct and modernize about 20 industrial enterprises by 2017.
