Average rate on banking crediting in foreign currency reduced in Azerbaijan

As of Feb. 1, the average rate on bank lending to the economy in national currency made up 16.4 percent compared to 16.37 percent on Jan. 1, 2011 and 15.92 percent - on Jan. 1, 2010, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan said.

The average rate on bank lending in hard currency made up 16.86 percent compared to 17.31 percent and 17.19 percent.

As of Feb., the average rate on bank lending of legal entities in national currency amounted to 14.4 percent compared to 14.4 percent on Jan. 1, 2011 and 14,14 percent on Jan. 1, 2010. The average rate on bank credits of corporate clients in hard currency equaled 13.63 percent compared to 14.2 percent on Dec. 1, 2010 and 14.65 percent on Jan. 1, 2010.

In this period, the average rate on bank loans to physical entities in national currency amounted to 19.85 percent compared to 19.84 percent on Jan. 1, 2011 and 20.54 percent on Jan. 1, 2010. The average rate on bank loans to individual clients in hard currency was 23.87 percent compared to 23,73 percent and 23,27 percent respectively.
