Regional working group within TRACECA to meet soon

March 24-25, Tbilisi will host a meeting of the regional working group as part of TRACECA transport corridor (Europe-Caucasus-Asia). The meeting will be attended by three South Caucasus republics and Turkey, TRACECA national secretary from Azerbaijan Akif Mustafayev said.
He said the meeting will focus on land transport security.
The main topics to be discussed during the meeting are the work and leisure of drivers, safety of international transport, use of digital tachographs, road conditions.
Azerbaijan will be represented at the meeting by two representatives of the Ministry of Transport, one of whom is a specialist on security issues, and other one - legal issues.
TRACECA is an international program of cooperation in transport between the EU and its partner countries in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia. The organization has a permanent secretariat in Baku.
Currently, the TRACECA member countries are Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Moldova, Romania, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Iran.
