Georgia tomatoes will be exported to Holland, ICON GROUP management said on Wednesday.
According to report, tomatoes were supplied to Moldova, Bulgaria and Belarus from the greenhouses in 2010, but this year Holland is added to this list.
This year ICON GROUP plans to collect more than 1,000 tons of tomatoes, most of which will be exported. At this stage, the demand for the company's products exceeds supply, so it is planned to expand greenhouses for another three hectares. Extra four million dollars will be invested in the production.
Greenhouses of ICON GROUP are located in the Khelvachauri region of Adjara and cover 3.5 hectares. In addition to tomatoes, lettuce is also planted in greenhouses.
ICON GROUP is fully established at the expense of foreign capital: 85 percent - Turkish capital, 15 percent - German.
