Assets of U.S. insurance company's subsidiary increase

The assets of the U.S. Chartis' (AIG Insurance) subsidiary increased by 3.93 percent in Azerbaijan in 2010.

Assets amounted to 5.867.000 million manat compared to 5.645.000 million manat as of early 2010.

Deposit accounts last year totaled 2.325.000 million manat, 1.154.000 million manat are concentrated in investment securities.

Its share capital has not changed was 3.5 million manat in late 2010.

Its aggregate capital for the year amounted to 3.161.000 million manat. It decreased by 4.7 percent compared to 2009.

Its total liabilities totaled 2.706.000 million manat, increasing by 16.25 percent.
Joint losses amounted to 156,554 manat.

Chartis Azerbaijan renders single compulsory and seven types of voluntary insurance services.
The official exchange rate today is 0.7911 manat to $1.
