Jordan seeks investment opportunities in Georgia

Georgian investment opportunities have aroused significant interest among business circles in Jordan.

A delegation of Jordanian businessmen paid special interest in the country's tourist potential.

The Georgian Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry told Trend that a delegation headed by Jordanian Industry and Trade Hani Minister al-Mulk visited Georgia on July 18-21. It included senators, the head of the Investment Council, chairmen of the Commerce and Industry Chambers, the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and a group of businessmen.

The Georgia-Jordanian business forum was held within the visit to Batumi.

An agreement on cooperation between the Georgian National Investment Agency and the Jordanian Investment Council was signed. The sides also discussed the prospects for bilateral economic and trade relations and investments to Georgia.

The meetings were also held between the head of the Jordanian delegation and Georgian Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Vera Kobalia.
