Mahmoud Ahmadinejad does not permit publicizing real statistics about the country's economy, ILNA reported quoting Head of Parliament (Majlis) Research Center Ahmad Tavakkoli as saying.
"The Ahmadinejad government surprisingly prevents issuing transparent and punctual data and has not submitted its financial report over the past five months," he said on Parliament Sunday session.
Tavakoli noted under the presidential decree,
the Central Bank of Iran has been banned to issue precise information.
The Governor of Central Bank of Iran Mahmoud Bahmani earlier said the bank would no longer announce the inflation rate and the Statistical Center of Iran would be responsible for future statistics instead.
