More than 1,200 individuals benefited from the possibility of e-registration of its business in July in Azerbaijan, Head of state registration of commercial entities and economic analysis department at the Taxes Ministry
Zaur Fatizade said in an interview with the ministry's Vergiler newspaper.
Since July 1, the Taxes Ministry of Azerbaijan started online registration of individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activities without establishing a legal entity.
"We record an upward trend in the number of registrations after the transition to a new form. I think that private entrepreneurs will themselves stand for registration through the e-registration system in a short period of time," he said.
The ministry also plans to carry out expansion and improvement of services provided on site and a special e-section of the ministry's website in 2010, he said. It is also planned to shortly provide the possibility of payment of taxes and duties on plastic cards via the Internet portal of the ministry.
"The process is still being studied and analyzed from all sides, as this is a very important issue. This project is based on a study of the experience of the world leading countries," Fatizade said.
