Uzbekinvest, K-Sure sign cooperation agreement

The Uzbek National Export-Import Insurance Company -Uzbekinvest and the Korean Trade Insurance Corporation -K-Sure have signed a bilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of commercial insurance, the company reported today.

The Uzbek National Export-Import Insurance Company -Uzbekinvest and the Korean Trade Insurance Corporation -K-Sure have signed a bilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of commercial insurance, the company reported today.

The agreement provides for exchange of information, introduction of advanced achievements and experiences of insurance, and expansion of cooperation in the field of insurance between Uzbekistan and Korea.

Uzbekinvest has been operating since 1994. Its authorized capital is $60 million. Uzbekinvest founders are the Uzbek Finance Ministry (83.3 percent) and the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activities (16.7 percent).

Uzbekinvest increased the collection of premiums in 2010 by 14 percent - up to 23 billion soums compared to 2009, the amount of insurance recoveries declined by 0.9 percent - to 5.1 billion soums.
