Turkmenistan receives hydro-construction technology
Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Sept. 1 / Trend H.Hasanov /
Turkmenistan is preparing to realize a major project constructing a plant which will produce galvanized lamp posts, metal power line structures, and metal road fences.
The presented project is approved in general, an official Turkmen source reported.
At the government meeting, Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov emphasized "the importance of a very careful approach to the selection of contractors."
Turkmenistan is to expand the construction of facilities which serve socio-economic purposes; these include roads, infrastructure, and life support facilities. The growing volume of construction work requires assuring that the industry will have sufficient building materials.
Earlier it was reported that Turkmenistan is building over 2,000 facilities worth nearly $48 billion. Recent years have seen the construction of a cement plant, steel plant, and enterprises producing marble and other materials.
