Georgia and Qatar have enhanced cooperation in maritime transport.
"Cooperation between the two countries in maritime transport will be discussed during a Qatari delegation's visit to Batumi on Sept. 8-9," the Georgian Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry told Trend.
The ministry believes that the Qatari delegation's visit to Georgia will contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two countries in maritime transport.
In February 2011, Georgia and Qatar signed an agreement on air traffic, based on the principle of "open skies."
Qatar Airways, which was to launch flights to Georgia from Nov. 30, announced in August that it will launch the first flight in February 2012.
