Exports from Kazakhstan to China has risen due to deliveries of mineral resources (68.6%), as well as metals and its manufactures (24.5%), the Presidential official website Ak-Orda reported on Tuesday.
According to statistical data, trade turnover between Kazakhstan and China in 2010 amounted to $14.1bln. The figure hit $8.9bln in January-June 2011.
Ak-Orda published this press-release after Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev's meeting with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the All-China Assembly of People's Representatives Wu Bangguo today.
China's exports to Kazakhstan are based on textile, cars, equipment and consumer goods.
The statement says that the core of Chinese-Kazakh cooperation is oil and gas sector. 10.92mln. tons of Kazakh oil and 4.4bln. cubic metres of gas were exported to China in 2010.
