Brunei companies showed an interest in cooperation with the Uzbek partners in oil and gas sector, agricultural, food and textile industries, as well as in the tourism sector within the first Uzbek-Brunei business forum held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, Jahon news agency reports with reference to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry.
The business forum was attended by representatives of the Uzbek and Brunei businessmen interested in establishing trade and economic and mutually beneficial investment cooperation.
The Uzbek side provided information on the pace of Uzbekistan's socio-economic development and investment opportunities created for foreign investors.
Within the business forum bilateral meetings were held with representatives of Brunei companies. In particular, company "Mashhor group of companies", engaged in operations in the supply, assembly and technical maintenance of oil and gas equipment, held talks with representatives of Uzbek oil and gas industry, while "Antony travel tour" tourism company with representatives of the country's tourist industry.
Following the talks it was agreed to continue contacts to establish contacts in specific areas.
