Georgian Court of Appeal has acquitted IDS Borjomi Company from 400,000 financial sanction imposed by the Finance Ministry, the speaker-judge of Tbilisi Appeal Court Tamar Alania said to a press conference today.

She said as a result of inventory, the tax authority found tax violations at the company and imposed a fine. According to Alania, the company complained of this decision firstly to the Finance Ministry and then to court.

"The Appeal Court made a decision today, according to which, the company had documentation for all expenditures during the contentious period, which has not been fully investigated by the tax authority. Accordingly, the company was exempted from a fine of 400,000 lari," Alania said.

The litigation had lasted since 2009.
