Uzbekistan's GDP increased by 8.2 percent in January - September 2011, the Uzbek First Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister Rustam Azimov said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday. The activity was considered for the first nine months of the year.
Industrial output increased by 7 percent in January - September, compared to the same period of last year, agricultural production - by 6.8 percent, consumer goods - by 11.4 percent. Retail trade turnover increased by 16.2 percent, paid services - by 14.2 percent, exports of goods increased by 21.4 percent.
The budget was executed with a surplus of 0.4 percent to GDP. Inflation did not exceed the forecast indices, Azimov said.
The official exchange rate is 1.740.77 soums per $1.
