Access to the largest Russian ports is still closed for Kazakh grain exporters, because of increased export of Russian record harvest, the Managing Director of National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Kanat Almagambetov told reporters on Tuesday on the sidelines of the meeting on the organization of grain transportation.

"Russian ports are loaded with Russian grain from the end of July until the end of the year," Almagambetov said. "Therefore, large ports such as Novorossiysk and Tuapse will be closed for us."

Kazakhstan understands the situation. "We are working through small ports: Zarechnoye, Azov, Yeisk," he added.

This year Kazakhstan plans to harvest 22-23 million tons of grain in net weight grain. Export potential is estimated at 10 million tons.
