By 2015, cement production in Azerbaijan will reach 4.56 million tons compared to over 1.27 million tons expected in 2011, a draft state budget for 2012 and subsequent three years, submitted the country's parliament for consideration says. The country produced about 1.28 million tons of cement in 2010.
It is projected that in 2012 the country will produce more than 1.6 million tons of cement, in 2013 this figure will be about 1.9 million tons, while in 2014 it will reach 4.56 million tons.
Also it is expected to increase asphalt production in 2015 and bring its volume to 1.14 million tons compared to 968,600 tons expected in 2011. In 2010, Azerbaijan produced 888,100 tons of asphalt.
According to forecasts, in 2012 asphalt production in the country will exceed one million tons, in 2013 this figure will hit more than 1.08 million tons and in 2014 it will reach 1.11 million tons.
