Georgia, Turkey simplify customs control

Georgia and Turkey signed an agreement on the electronic exchange of information, Georgian Finance Ministry said on Friday.

According to the report, the document envisages the simplification of customs control between the two countries.

The agreement was concluded in Batumi within the International Forum "Role of Customs in the development of trade between Silk Road countries."

The forum is organized by the Revenue Service of Georgia.

The conference is being attended by heads of customs offices of over 50 countries.

The forum participants share experiences and familiarize themselves with the reforms carried out in Georgia in recent years.
