The number of registered business entities in Georgia has increased by 8.3 percent to 4,504 in October, compared to the same period in 2010. Of them 98.1 percent are commercial entities and 1.9 percent - non-profit entities, the Georgian National Statistics Office (Gruzstat) reported today.
During the reporting period, the monthly registration index hit 1.029.
In October, compared to the previous month, the number of registered entrepreneurial entities increased by 14.1 percent and non-entrepreneurial grew by 8.5 percent.
The number of registered entrepreneurial entities increased by 8.2 percent and non-profit - 19.4 percent compared to same period 2010.
Most business entities were registered as private entrepreneurs (3,248) and limited liability company (1,151).
