Despite drops in the average price per square meter on the primary housing market in Baku by 1.8 percent in October, it increased by 4.9 percent to $819 over the same period last year, MBA Group General Director Nusrat Ibrahimov told Trend on Monday.
"The gradual sale of cheap apartments on the market and the increase in the share of expensive apartments in the portfolio of proposals have led to the fact that the prices last year had the tendency to increase," he said.
He said the price index on the primary housing market is gradually increasing.
"The share of flats offered for sale above the average price increases in the portfolio," he said. "The number of flats offered for sale has fallen sharply in most many apartment buildings. As opposed to the construction of massive residential buildings, the problems in the construction of business and elite buildings gradually eliminated."
