Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 8 / Trend, V. Zhavoronkova/

Locally produced coal's price increased in Kyrgyzstan by hitting 9,000 soms per ton, KyrTAG quotes Atambek Botoyev, Batken region deputy governor as saying on Wednesday.

Botoyev believes the price increase is artificial and it is stipulated by the export of coal produced in Kyrgyz Sulukta province of Batken region to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

He said the transportation of coal within Kyrgyzstan is problematic because of recent petroleum, oils, and lubricants price rise in the country and it also may cause the price hike for coal.
The estimated deposits of Sulukta coal field are 191.4 million tons.

The official exchange rate is 46.85 soms per $1.
