A total of 19,495 cars were sold in Kazakhstan in October of 2011, or 67.3 percent less than the same period of 2010, Kazakh Statistic Agency reported.

According to the agency, 12,265 cars sold within the country in October, 2011, were produced before 2001, compared to 41,004 cars of the same production date which were sold in October, 2010.

A total of 2,101 cars sold in this period were manufactured after 2001 and 2004 (7,175 cars of this age were sold in Oct. of 2010).

Meanwhile, 2,304 cars, which were produced after 2008, were sold in this period compared to 3,455 cars of same production date, which were sold in the same period of 2010.

Kazakhstan has a total of 3.475 million registered cars as of Nov. 1
