Kazakhstan's gross external debt increased by 4 percent and amounted to $122.87 billion in January-October 2011 compared to $118.151 billion as of early year, Kazakh National Bank reported on Thursday.
Some $5,208 million or 4.2 percent of this amount is debt guaranteed by the state, $117.66 billion or 95.8 percent is external dept which was not guaranteed by the state.
According to the Bank, some 47.8 percent or $58.740 billion of the total external debt accounted for intercompany debts, which include commitments to foreign parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliated companies and commitments of branches of foreign companies operating in the country.
