The Azerbaijani State Securities Committee has registered the emission of simple non-documentary shares at the Akkord Industrial and Construction Investment Corporation to the tune of 84 million manat.

The Azerbaijani State Securities Committee has registered the emission of simple non-documentary shares at the Akkord Industrial and Construction Investment Corporation to the tune of 84 million manat.

They will be placed by converting 4.8 million shares with a par value of 5 manat each in the same number of shares worth 17.5 manat. The company's authorized capital will be increased by 3.5 times.

Akkord is expanding its participation in international projects and cooperation with world leading companies.

Akkord implements its business and infrastructure projects not only in Azerbaijan but in Georgia, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

About 9 of 19 infrastructure projects are implemented by Akkord in Azerbaijan. Their total cost in Azerbaijan is 380.5 million manat.

The total cost of 10 projects implemented in Georgia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan is 659.5 million manat. The cost of the contracts for all infrastructure projects is 1.04 billion manat (VAT excluded).

Roughly 5,000 workers were involved in the operations on all the projects of the corporation.

The corporation has 38 plants. The number of machines and mechanisms is more than 3,000.

The official exchange rate is 0.7863 AZN/USD on Jan. 26.
