Economy Ministers of Kazakhstan and Germany signed an agreement on partnership in raw materials, industrial and technological spheres within the visit of a Kazakh delegation headed by President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Germany, Kazakh President's press-service reported.
"Signing ceremony of the agreement on partnership in raw materials, industrial and technological spheres was held at the end of the meeting of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and German Chancellor Angela Merkel," the press-service said.
The agreement will stimulate German companies to carry out exploration and production at Kazakhstan's oil fields and build plants for processing of raw materials and produce goods for further exports to other countries. The latest German technology can be widely used in the Kazakh economy, which is especially important in connection with the implementation of State programs on forced industrial-innovative development in Kazakhstan.
The document was signed by Kazakh Minister of Economy and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev and German Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economics and Technology Philipp Rösler.
Moreover, President Nazarbayev and Angela Merkel within the meeting discussed the whole range of Kazakh-German partnership and noticed the significant progress of bilateral cooperation in political, economic, scientific and educational spheres and significant increase in trade turnover of the two countries.
According to the two countries' leaders, the signed agreement creates new opportunities for the economies of Kazakhstan and Germany.
Kazakh President Nazarbayev assessed the Kazakh delegation's visit to Germany as very successful.
"This is a real progress in our relations", Nazarbayev said.
