Azerbaijan Airlines to finance delayed passengers’ flight to Aberdeen

Passengers of the previously cancelled Baku-Aberdeen flight carried out by CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines will be flown back at the airline’s expense, Azerbaijan Airlines spokesman Maharram Safarli told Trend on Thursday.

Passengers of the previously cancelled Baku-Aberdeen flight carried out by CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines will be flown back at the airline's expense, Azerbaijan Airlines spokesman Maharram Safarli told Trend on Thursday.

He said passengers of the cancelled flight will leave on the Baku-London flight at 19.05 Baku local time on Thursday.

"Then they will be flown from London to Aberdeen at the company's expense," Mr Safarli said.

At present, Heydar Aliyev International Airport is working normally and in particular a number of flights, including those to Europe, were carried out this morning.

Baku observed a record low temperature of minus 11 degrees at 06:00 - 07:00 in the morning of Feb.8. According to 110-year meteorological observations, the previous lowest temperature was recorded in Baku in 1969 at minus 10 degrees. Currently the country is experiencing hard frost.
