Business representatives have discussed business development after Kazakhstan's accession to the Customs and Economic Unions, at a Kazakh-French Business Council meeting on Wednesday.

"The economy is difficult, businessmen are willing to cooperate with Kazakh companies. There are many sectors where investments can be made. Investments should be of high quality," Co-Chairman Yves-Louis Darricarrere said at the meeting.

The Kazakh-French Business Council includes 68 Kazakh and French businessmen -- such as the heads of the two countries' major companies. The council was established in 2008. It aims to strengthen relations between the French private sector and Kazakh partners, create conditions for enhanced cooperation and assist in major projects.
