Over the past decade the financing of scientific areas in Kazakhstan increased by 2.5 times. For example, in 2012 it increased by more than $101 million compared to the previous year, Kazakh Deputy Minister of Education and Science Murat Orunkhanov said at a meeting.
"An important indicator is the scientific research and development costs," Mr Orunkhanov said.
He said such measures encourage research activity of scientific centres and scientists.
