Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Elman Rustamov received a delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), headed by the executive director of the bank's financial institutions Nick Tesseyman on Thursday, the CBA said on Thursday.
The current activities of the EBRD in Azerbaijan and the prospects for future cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
Rustamov expressed confidence in the development of the Central Bank cooperation with EBRD and said that several projects in the frame of cooperation with the banking system of Azerbaijan are being successfully implemented today.
Tesseyman noted that the CBA has supported the country's banking sector during the global financial crisis.
"Anti-crisis measures being taken in the country, and implementation of the post-crisis objectives creates an opportunity for stability and resilience of the banking sector," Tesseyman said.
