Auto importers in Iran are intentionally delaying the delivery of pre-sold vehicles so they can charge more for them, the Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA) reports.
Over the last two months there has been a sharp jump in the volume of delayed contracts for pre-paid cars, Hossein Ordookhani, the head of Tehran Automobile Showroom and Sellers Association, said.
Sellers have been asked not to pre-sell any imported cars because of the new methods used by auto importers.
