Georgian, Azerbaijani and Turkish businessmen should actively work together and create enterprises for the development of the region, Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan said after meeting with his Georgian counterpart Vera Kobalia.

Georgian, Azerbaijani and Turkish businessmen should actively work together and create enterprises for the development of the region, Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan said after meeting with his Georgian counterpart Vera Kobalia.

The meeting was held in Istanbul within a meeting of the Georgian-Turkish intergovernmental commission.

According to Caglayan, a great delegation of Turkish businessmen, interested in implementation of projects in Georgia and making investments in the country, will arrive in Georgia soon. "We are interested in regional cooperation, including in the development of business in Georgia. Terms for business registration contribute to it," he said.

In turn, Kobalia stressed that Georgia is interested in Turkish companies' investments.

"We are ready to accept new companies, and contribute to the expansion and enlargement of Turkish companies existing in Georgia, which will allow us to provide new jobs to develop business," she stressed.

Georgian Economy Minister underlined that Turkey's economy is recognized around the world as one of the most growing and, therefore, Georgia's development depends on this development to a great extent. "There are many Turkish companies our country and we are interested in the development of relations," she said.

Kobalia met with Turkish businessmen and familiarized them with Georgia's investment opportunities within her visit.
