By late April the installation of universal POS-terminals in 500 Baku London taxis will be complete, the Baku Taxi Company head operator of these cars Ilgar Gasimov told Trend on Thursday.
He said it will be possible to pay using magnetic, chip and touch type plastic cards through the new terminals.
In future it will also allow making payment using single cards for payment on all forms of public transport in Baku.
At present, the number of London Taxi TX4cars, working in Baku, is 500 units. By late April their number will reach 1000. All the cars will be equipped with POS-terminals.
Agreement to supply these taxis was signed with Shanghai LTI at a total cost of $27 million.
