Primary real estate registration ups by over 50 percent in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani State Property Committee stressed a significant increase in the primary real estate registration in January 2012.

Primary and secondary real estate registration in January 2012 increased by 53 and 43.7 percent respectively over the same period of last year, the State Committee said on Saturday.

According to a report, about 1,191 units of the total number of registered real estate fall to apartments, 1,033 - land, 907 - private houses in January 2012.

Most registered flats fall to Baku - 848, and most private homes and land - on the Azerbaijani regions, i.e. 783 houses and 843 land plots.

Property registration and issue of technical certificates increased in 17 regional offices of the republic in January 2012. There was a decline in Jalilabad territorial administration.

The biggest increase was recorded in Gabala (3.3 times) and Khachmaz (3.1 times).

"About 9,847 logs for real estate, 8972 testing certificates were given in Jan. 2012," the statement said. About 1,354 mortgage treaties were registered.

The number of issued logs increased by 45 percent. This shows the interest of citizens in the full registration of documents on their own property.
